Description
Wattle seeds are the edible seeds from any of 120 species of Australian Acacia that were traditionally used as food by Aboriginal Australians, and eaten either green (and cooked) or dried (and milled to a flour) to make a type of bush bread.
The unique flavour of Oz Tukka’s Wattle Seeds evolves from the drying and roasting process. After roasting, the seeds are ground for convenient use.
Wattle Seed is used in desserts, cake and bread and gives a delicious flavour to meat dishes, chicken, fish and cream sauces. Add to a pancake batter, cheesecake or ice cream. For sweet dishes it blends well with vanilla and cinnamon.
For a savoury flavour, try it with lemon myrtle, bush tomato or Tasmanian pepper.
